Prime Time #CCClassic 10th Grade #TipSheet

Bebe Igboanuyo (FT BEND BARRACUDAS)

Great talent at Clutch City Classic hosted by Prime Time Sports and I tried to capture as much as possible, in fact I always do. With that being said, here is the Tip Sheet from the 10th Grade Division

Naomi Tekleab (LR3 COMETS)

Coach Hughey's Basketball Camp @UHCougarWBB

It's that time again as the local colleges are gearing up for their basketball camps and this is the information for Coach Ronald Hughey's. Contact Alaina Lee @ (713) 743-9463 and just so you know, Lee is one of the top point guards that played in Houston

LR3 Comets Basketball #CCClassic

Okay we all know I get a kick out of seeing talent I haven't seen and if you didn't know, then you do now. Micki and Ariel Beard impressed me so much I didn't shave for a few days but with their size and strength combined with the ability to stretch the defense, a few tweaks here and there will go a long way for these twins

Gabby Acosta got after it as well as Anita Fuentes who is one of three 2019 players on the 2018 squad. Jasmine Gonzales also played well but these three just found ways to make plays as well as make things happen because they all played a part in several runs

Joyane Eriom is another 2019 and she loves being physical on both ends. She's undersized in the paint more times than not however she gets after it and does well. Sydni Rowland is the lone player I've seen in the past, she caught my eye a couple of years ago and her future is definitely bright but are so are many of these players. The two that will be on the Tip Sheet are Hannah Rodriguez and the third 2019 Naomi Tekleab and that's coming up later on girlzprepreport.com

HTX #CCClassic

Plenty of bright spots throughout the HTX organization and I caught a pretty good look at both the 2019 and 2020 teams. I've already done a segment on 2020 minus Ashlon Jackson and Deyona Gaston who will be on the Tip Sheet coming up later but check out what I said about the other players

On the 2019, Macy Braswell definitely caught my eye on Saturday while Alissa Dussette had both eyes wide open on Sunday, they too will be on the Tip Sheet coming up, but let's go for it with HTX 2019. Kori Grays did a number of things well, she definitely battled on both ends while Vivian Galvan and Andreea Mancha showed they could score but Gracie Hawkins definitely has range

Prime Time #CCClassic 8th Grade #TipSheet

HOUSTON, Texas- The Clutch City Classic hosted by time definitely had me jumping and I tried to see as many players as I could multiple times, well providing I had rosters for the teams so instead of combining 7th and 8th grade Tip Sheets, I decided to drop something on them separately. Katy Chaos definitely had players that are up and coming, I'll definitely make an effort to keep my eyes on them down the road and the Creole Blazers made a run and have several talented players I don't know so here we go. All players are 2020's unless noted

Mikayla Green (Ft Bend Bombers) only 5'1 and a 7th grader, she's showing signs of brilliance down the road. She's aggressive with the ball, can create her own shot and nail it while being heavily defended

Savanna Smith (Katy Rebels Lauritano) several bright spots on this squad but Smith showed me so much in so little time that I chose her this go round. Midrange is always a plus, especially at a young age and with her athleticism, playing the passing lane was a breeze

Alexyss Jackson (Lady Panthers) very physical player that doesn't run from contact. Scored with ease inside and rebounded well on both ends of the court. If she grows a few inches, she may just be a household name but at 5'6, I definitely know her name now

Maddie Henderson (Houston Premier) one of my favorite programs this century, they've always been supportive and kept me busy with their talented players I've written about. This season is no different and with so many to chose from, Henderson get's it this time. She see's and runs the floor, she creates her shot in traffic and scored many ways, especially from midrange

LMBA 2021 #CCClassic

Anyone that knows me knows I love seeing young talented players across the state, I've always enjoyed it and before you had any type of coverage that has found it's way to out fair state, I was the one telling EVERYONE that what we Texas put out was just as good or better than what they were promoting and whether or not anyone wants to admit it, I was right and 15 years later I'm still right

I certainly enjoyed LMBA's mix of 6th and 7th graders, Arden Neff can score, knows the game and has a variety of weapons in her repertoire. Gabby Owens is overpowering inside, she already understands positioning, rebounding and finishing and what can I say about Taylor Jarrel, oh I already did as she and Samantha Velazquez made my Tip Sheet

Neff, Owens and Jarrel are the only 7th graders on this squad however the 6th graders do more than there share to show they can play up. Lauren LaRoe sho can sco is something I plan on saying and broken English or not, she has plenty of gadgets to throw at you. Jenna Williams and Chisom Amushie already get it and with their athleticism, they love to defend and do what I love, play the passing lanes. Big kudos to Romiya Hopkins, she's already a force inside and if she grows into the dominant player I think she may become, well she has plenty of time to prove me right

Rice Dominators Elite #CCClassic

Let's cut to the chase, I saw this squad a couple of years ago and I knew that had several talented middle school ballplayers that would leave their mark in high school and although some have just entered, trust me many will be household names across the area before it's all said and done. This squad sort of reminded me of the Houston Lady, a team I caught pre HS, a team I said had legitimate stars and a team that had more kids from their organization sign to play at the next level than any other in the area. I already dropped what I thought about Deja Williams and Kiome Dixon on my Tip Sheet

I've also tweeted about everyone else on this talented squad so if you don't follow me on social media, chances are you're going to miss something but a quick recap is that they have several smart players that comprehend the game, Zoey Zepada and Jackie Aragon definitely are in that group, in fact Zepada's crossover actually fixed that soreness in my neck as I "followed the bouncing ball."
Carmen Lovo, Braelyn Younger and Mya Bolding showed finesse and power on the inside while Annette Clark and Elyssa Coleman are both above the magic number and their best basketball is ahead of them. Keep in mind Coleman, Clark, Bolding and Younger are all 2020's on this 2019 team and like said before, you don't need perfect vision to know that 2020 will be a monster class

Speaking of monsters, Yumon Simien made my first Tip Sheet on this group and could make one every time I write about a tournament she's in, she's THAT good. Long and athletic coupled with , remember this, "a nightmare to defend" because that first step or that step back will have you leaning more times that not and  her acrobatic moves while defying gravity will only improve. Did I mention she shoots the ball very well, well enough to average over 20 for the event

Spots available for I-10 Basketball Showcase this weekend

The Houston Lady Phenoms first group of players caught my eye prior to even entering high school and several players stood out on the squad, in fact they stood out so much I called many LEGITIMATE college prospects and we all know how it turns when I said that right?

Fast forward to now, this new crew has plenty are just as legitimate including those Suber twins, Kiana and Briana, who I said were D1 locks in the 5th or 6th grade and they've shown that the definitely have the key as many doors have opened from colleges wanting these talented young ladies

The Lady Phenoms are hosting the I-10 Basketball Showcase this weekend at San Jac, spots are available, cost is $200 for a 3-4 game guarantee. Contact Coach DJ at 832.2063610 and of course , I'll be attendance and remember "if you don't get it now, you will later "

SETX Power Elite 2019 #ClutchCityClassic

Texas is huge, I said that in the previous century and more times than not, I've always been able to find some not only competitive payers but some legitimate stars like SETX Power Elite director Gabrielle Mattox who happens to be one of those players in the greatest class of all from the area, 2005 and if you had a chance to see her play, you get it and if you didn't, well there aren't many like her since then

On their 15U team, SEYX definitely has some talent, I love speedy guards that bring heat and can score, Jayda Arguman, Telia Jackson and Shannon Whitehead fit that mode, Jackson is quite shifty with the ball while Arguman doesn't mind diving for loose balls. I love smart guards that can score because when you comprehend the game, it definitely is a plus so Jena Fregia and Alison McGalion to that column but what I really love is guards that can break defenses down, hello Richardson

Seriously I loved watching this squad get after it, Abbie Martinka filled in some of the blanks while Jordyn Beaty physique and physicality along with her age has me thinking she's going to create some issues especially if she grows a few inches but Makayla Linn created more than some Issues and gave me plenty of Answers as she made the Tip Sheet

Prime Time #CCClassic 9th Grade #TipSheet

I tweeted a pic of Makayla Linn  (SETX Power Elite) and she responded how much she loved the game and her passion is only one of the reasons she made the 9th Grade Tip Sheet from Prime Time's blockbuster Clutch City Classic

Several talented players participated in the event, I've probably mentioned over 50 already, in fact I know I have but I cover events like a blanket even if it's not in the WINTER but SUMMER Kimble (LMBA) showed up as well as many others
