I glanced at the Chronicle's high school girl's basketball schedule and picked four important games in district, based on how the season had gone so far and one of the one's that I figured would be a good game was the Summer Creek at Kingwood match-up.Summer Creek had already lost to Oak Ridge and The Woodlands however they hadn't faced the top teams in he district, Atascocita and the Mustangs so a loss last night might have taken away any shot at winning District 6-A

This game went down to the wire based on the box and the star players stepped up in big ways as Summer Creek got the road win 60-59. Jayla Calhoun led all scorers with 27 followed by Sugar Young's 17 and the Mustangs were led by Brooke Jolivette's 25 along with Charlotte Hodge's 5
