No one's out of the Woods just yet in R3

This #AutoAwesome capture sort of tells the picture of Cy Woods potency. Still no Nancy Mulkey, the countdown to her return has started but the nucleus has been formed and the results are in. This was my preseason pick to represent R3 however that decision was made with the Wildcats being at full strength. After some close calls earlier this season, it wan't until their FBISD Tourney Championship over another Wildcats, Dekaney, did I see them as possibly a serious contender, even after Mulkey returned.

Add Tatyana Perez to the team that was a point shy of making the Regional F4 last season. She's running the one with precision and brings not only more energy in the backcourt from last season, but more offense as well to go along with Olivia and Erica Ogwumike plus "Miss Excitement" Tyler Davis

Ashley Foster and Gbemi Orundami are coming up huge in several games, either hitting big shots, making big steals, grabbing rebounds or just rounding out the five on the court by doing some things that may not show up in the box score. Okay blah, blah, blah. They lost big to Duncanville and earlier last week by 23 to Manvel so their semifinal loss of 53-40 three days later says what?

Once the playoffs come around, it's possible they can put together a run, even without Mulkey now being tagged by me as The Incredible Mulk. They have the firepower, they have the energy to bring pressure on both ends and they have the mindset. Let's see, out of the three majors they played in,  they won FBISD, third in the TI and runner-up in PWC, so that's one and a two and a one, two, three..................Final 4?
