Flava's All 6'0 and under Tip Sheet

Taylor Lewis

When you're small and playing basketball, you must have at least another S as well and he more you have, the better your marketability will be at playing at the next level. First of all you have to be SMART and that means comprehension of the game and certain situations to avoid over and over. It's also good to have SPEED or at least be quick and maneuver well on the floor. Another that also helps is being SLICK and taking advantage of whatever you can while making split second decisions.

This field was loaded and it was refreshing to see so many young ladies prove that size doesn't really matter so I chose five

Brecca Thomas has answered every call

2014
Cheyenne Butler-5-5 guard-West Coast Premier

Butler brought energy and made things happen on the floor on both ends of the court. She directed rush hour traffic, aka the press, when it came at her setting her teammates up for easy baskets as she maneuvered out of traps over and over, plus she showed she could score. She has committed to USC

Brecca Thomas-5-5 guard-DFW Elite T-Jack

I watched her drop close to 10 threes as a sixth grader playing up and over the years she just kept adding more and more to her offensive arsenal. Watching her stop on a dime for a pull-up jumper is simply a work of art as she knows how to get her shot off. Colorado knows it also because that's where she's heading

Taylor Lewis-5-6 guard-Arkansas New Life

Lewis just keeps amazing me and after watching her go on a three point frenzy a couple of years ago, I was sold because this was catch and shoot. She has shown me that she can run a team, wait, a high caliber team full of next level players and when you add that with her ability to score, you've got something  special

Alanis Candelaria-5-3 guard-El Paso Sun

Not only did she light it up from bta, she attacked well and showed a very good midrange game. Being the smallest on the list should tell you something and her intensity on defense almost overshadowed her offensive skills

2015

Madison Spears-5-7 guard-East Texas Rattlers

Another catch and shoot marksman who was simply smoking both games I watched and with a stroke like that, well that alone get's you a nod. Sometimes it appeared as if she was playing around the world as the bombs were dropping from every angle imaginable
