Yesterday I wrote about Ashlyn Bagget scoring 13 points in the first 13 minutes for McNeese State and after seeing what she did, who knows what tomorrow will bring. The senior was simply unconscious in te early going 18 in the first 13 minutes today and they needed every one of her points as the Cowgirls held a 23-19 advantage over Nicholls State with a little over seven minutes left in the first half
Yesterday it was freshman Allison Baggett putting up numbers, today another freshman, Jalyn Johnson showed she could shoot the long ball too as she knocked down three three pointers in the first half to help give the Cowgirls a 42-31 lead. Nichols St opened the second half with 7-2 run, Hope Palowski created havoc on defense while scoring a couple buckets and Nichols St hung in there for a while before Cecilia Okoye hit back to back layups to seal the victory.
