Thomas gets Wildcats going early in win
Alexis Thomas isn't a household name or considered to be one of the stars on Dekaney's team however she has always played solid, given everything she had and seized whatever opportunity she she had to get on the floor. Now starting, Klein Forest was trying to figure a way to get her off the floor as her six opening quarter points helped Dekaney to a 14-10 lead after one. That lead was stretched to nine at the half and 17 after the first couple of minuets of the third quarter before back to back buckets from Desiree Davis and Jalea Preston
Brianna Taylor was simply magnificent however this comes as no surprise as she had "it" back in middle school however the same could be said for Ekiyah Gray and Ebony Parker who turned on the heat late in the ball game and after being down by 17 with six minuted to go in the third, KF was up 47-45 with 5:18 left.
Regina Scott was simply a monster on the board while Davis made some key steals and Preston some key buckets to go along with Parker and Gray. The bad part is Dekaney is just so explosive and after being down two, they went on a 12-0 run to almost seal it however KF wasn't done as Gray, Preston and Parker again scored big buckets but it wasn't enough as Dekaney wins 57-54
