Alodia Prime Time Rising Stars Showcase

TAYLOR MCCOWAN
I've heard different views over the years from coaches and parents on freshmen playing varsity. Some players are ready for the bright lights right off the top while others take a little time to adjust. I had a chance to watch several freshmen at the Alodia Prime Time Rising Stars Showcase who are going to be difference makers once their high school careers end. Some who played in this event were tabbed "Fantastic Freshmen" off the top like Brynae Thompson at Jersey Village and Brittany Scott from Spring but if you pay attention to what I always look for, it's progression
MADDISEN TURNER

They say the great thing about freshmen is that they become sophomores and two young ladies, Taylor McCowan (Cy Fair-Cy Fair Heat) and Maddisen Turner (Westside-Houston Reign)  are on the verge of becoming "Super Sophomores" as they will have have to play big parts next season for their high school teams to be successful. These are only a couple of the many players you'll be reading about that I had a chance to see over the weekend. The Alodia Prime Time Rising Stars Showcase had 38 teams from all around the area that gave me a chance to look into the future and it also had a team that traveled all the way from Alabama, the Gulf Coast Twisters, who are talent heavy to say the least. Stay tuned for more but for right now, check out this link
