Preseason Picks and Now

There is no way I would have figured Klein Forest would have had the drop off they did this season. With the best 2014 class in  the area along with the team making it's first trip to the playoffs since forever, there was nowhere to go but up. Well this is one of those times where everything that could go wrong did and it ended up with a player leaving the team and other drama but they came together when it counted and gave The Woodlands all they could handle in the playoffs and this is truly a squad that can say "wait till next year" and it actually means something. I flipped flop them with Klein Collins for the #10 spot but settled with KF because of the multiple weapons they had however it was Klein Collins that took undefeated Pflugerville to overtime in what would have been their first Elite 8 if they pulled off the upset

This is how I ranked them

10.KLEIN FOREST EAGLES (13-5A) - Who in their right mind would pick the Eagles as an area Top 10 team when they are led by four sophomores and a junior? I have no idea but I am. Ekiyah Gray (6’0 SOPH), Ebony Parker (5’9 SOPH), Jeliah Preston(5’8 SOPH) and Regina Scott (5’9 SOPH) are four of the top 2014 players in the city even though you probably haven’t heard much about them. Keep your eyes and ears open because you will know who they are before it’s all said and done
11.KLEIN COLLINS TIGERS (13-5A)- Veja Hamilton (5’10 SR) is another area player that could have been a Top 100 player. Pound for pound, inch for inch and year for year, since the senior just turned 16 in September, you won’t find too many offensive threats that are better. Klein Collins started off with a bang last season however nagging injuries to Dominique Dillingham (5’9 JR) slowed them down tremendously. This healthy duo will create problems as this potent one-two punch is up for some knockouts, not to mention the addition of move-in Jasmine Nash (5’7 SOPH)
