When you think about Bellaire, their version of the Big 3 is usually what people talk about and that's AJ Alix, Raven Burns and Bianca Winslow. Bellaire came out with only 5 players on Saturday and of the Big 3, Winslow was the only one that played. In one of the gutsiest performances I've seen, those five players put on a brilliant performance.Also in the other "this doesn't look good" play of the day, Blayke Hemmitt went out with what appeared to be a knee injury which forced the Cardinals to play with only 4 the last 5 minutes of the game. Sucking it up, Hemmitt came back to play in for sudden death as Winslow hit the winning bucket.
Shaundice Waugh was noticeably limping the whole game however the improvement from last season to this season let's me know I need to keep an eye on the is 2013 wing as she sliced her way to the basket with little effort over and over through traffic. Rounding out the squad was fellow 2013 Brianne Jolivet, one of the big keys to unlock the door to state and ever improving soph Angel Williams
