There are several scouting services around and like I said before, if you can play, you will be listed, no strings attached, no biases on my end based on club affiliation or anything else. We've had several kids from our program that have gone on to play at the next level, many even D-1 and not been listed anywhere but sometimes kids are overlooked and most of this is based on someones opinion and truly the main opinion I value is mine because I'll be the one doing the projecting for my service.
Last but not least, thanks for all the kind words and emails and I will continue doing what I do.
CY FAIR SHOCK VS FORT BEND STARS
This Cy Fair squad will be regrouping but it's enough talent to go around . Inman has already made a name for herself on a NATIONAL level and the emergence of Buchal over the summer has helped her catapult quite a few spots. Having those two at the foundation should help launch the new squad as one of the "teams" next season.
The Fort Bend Stars had one of the top 2011 teams and with a wealth of younger talent coming up, they are in pretty good shape.
INSIDERS 2013 VS HBA BLAZERS 2013
Our younger squad was up and down all year, mainly due to minor injuries however they managed to come in 2ND place in the Gulf Qualifier. Some of these kids have a chance to play at the next level.
The Blazers are blessed with size, quickness and shooters and are one of the top younger teams in the area. Several of these kids will play at the next level.
TKO has several talented teams and like I said earlier is one of the up and comers. Their younger teams battle with the Fastbreakers earlier in the season proved to be some of the best basketball I saw all year with plenty of young talent waiting to explode.
INSIDERS 2011 VS H-TOWN SOULJAHZ
Our top club was basically a 2012 squad, with the exception of a couple of 2011 players and July was bleak after losing Brianna Taylor, one of the four 2013 Houston players on Hoopgurlz.com watch list.
Both squads have kids ready to break out and prove they can get it done at the next level.
CAT 5 VS FORT BEND STARS 2013
Cat 5 caught me eye the first time I saw them. First of all, the gym was flooded with orange which made me want to take a peek. Then, the high octane energy they brought to the court made me sit down and watch. To see high intensity basketball between them and the Fort Bend stars was worth the price of admission.
BLAZERS 2013 VS BRYAN ELITE
Bryan has always put together some good teams and the area is loaded with players and knowledgeable parents/fans and when they come to town, they mean business.
Teaira McCowan looks better everytime I see her and the kid will be a major force before it's all said and done, that's apparent by the sudden interest but it goes with the territory.
There are several talented kids on this team who I can see right now bringing energy, willing to learn and wanting to play college basketball.
FINALLY!!!
There are several young ladies playing basketball across the country, however a small percentage of them are "BASKETBALL PLAYERS". It takes work, hard work and that should emphasized over and over.
The main thing parents should understand is to do your research. That doesn't mean read a book, take a class or listen to friends who have never been involved in this stuff and think you get it because it takes more than that. I've heard people say they sent their child to this camp or went and heard this coach speak and try and give me advice and it's funny. I usually give some humorous analogy, at least to me, like I just read "Private Pilot for Dummies", let's roll in the Cessna.
Most of this stuff is common sense and I have several useful articles listed throughout the blog but always remember that usually if it's too good to be true.............
